The U-14s were split into four groups and will play four group stage games, two Wednesday and two Thursday. The winners of each group will meet in Saturday's semifinals with the final taking place at noon on Sunday. The U-13s will play four games, with the top four teams advancing to Saturday's semis. Group stage games will consist of two 25-minute halves. The U-14s will play two 40-minute halves in the knockouts, and the U-13s will play two 35-minute halves.

The Patterson Cup is named after Sporting KC co-owner Neal Patterson and his wife Jeanne, both of whom lost their lives to cancer in 2017. For over a decade, the Patterson Family helped transform Sporting KC into the model MLS organization it is today. Their unwavering commitment to the growth of soccer in Kansas City has been manifested through the development of state-of-the-art facilities, technological innovation at sporting events and significant investment in soccer at the youth level. The Patterson Cup is a perfect way for the younger age groups of MLS NEXT to end their season and get tournament experience in the beginning stages of the Pro Player Pathway.

Sporting's U-14s, led by Carlos Ortiz, and U-13s, guided by Jamie MacGregor, will play host to the MLS NEXT Academies and look to lift the cup. Last year, the U-14s placed second after an exhilarating final that ended in kicks from the spot against FC Cincinnati.

The U-14s open against the Columbus Crew on Wednesday at 9 a.m. CT, and the U-13s face Charlotte FC at 10:20 a.m. CT. Fans can keep track of SKC's Patterson Cup results by following @SKCAcademy on X and Instagram. All other results will be posted here at the end of each day.
