Sporting Kansas City's U-14s and U-13s are gearing up for the Cronos Cup in Guadalajara, Mexico where they will have the opportunity to face some of Liga MX's top academies and compete for the cup in a week-long competition.

The two youngest age groups in Sporting KC's academy will head south of the border on Sunday along with the FC Dallas U-14s and U-13s as the only two MLS Academies competing in the cup. Awaiting the MLS sides are four Liga MX Academies, Atlas FC, Chivas De Guadalajara, Toluca FC and Club Necaxa.

Both the U-14s and U-13s will play five matches. They will play three group-stage matches, and either a first or second place finish in the group will earn them a spot in the semifinals. The consolation matches will take place at the same time as the semifinals and finals.
